Program Overview

The financial assistance for Emergency Medical Services Grants Program, known as the Rescue Squad Assistance Fund (RSAF) Grant Program is a multi-million dollar grant program for Virginia non-profit EMS agencies and organizations. Items eligible for funding include EMS equipment and vehicles, computers, EMS management programs, courses/classes and projects benefiting the recruitment and retention of EMS members.

Review

Grant Cycle

The Spring 2025 RSAF competitive matching grant cycle will open on Saturday February 1, 2025, and will close on Monday March 17, 2025, at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST). The period of performance is 12 months.

Grant Qualifications

If you are a nonprofit licensed EMS agency or other Virginia EMS organization operating on a nonprofit basis exclusively for the benefit of the general public, then you qualify!

Post Application Submission

The Regional Review Committee will complete a grading sheet and submit their recommendations to the Financial Assistance Review Committee (FARC), which is composed of 6 members. Then the Office of EMS will announce the selections and the applicant will be notified.
