Stress First Aid (NCE)
About
First responders are faced with a myriad of stressors. These can factor into behavioral health issues, such as PTSD, substance abuse and depression. Stress First Aid addresses the unique stressors related to first responders and builds on their strengths, including a sense of belonging and a strong sense of purpose. SFA is a toolkit that emphasizes the importance of continuously monitoring the stress of personnel, to quickly recognize and appropriately help individuals who are in need of interventions to promote healing.
