Shock in the Pediatric Patient Hour
Recognize shock, understand type, begin treatment, compare four categories, unclear etiology.
About
When a child presents in shock, it is imperative for the health care provider to be able to recognize shock, understand which type of shock it is and begin emergent treatment for it. Easy, right? Lets compare the main four categories of shock in the pediatric patient and discuss why it is not always so clear cut to figure out its etiology.
