About

Have you ever had the joy of squishing lemon over a fresh poke bowl or cooked ceviche to get that acidic cooking of your fresh fish? That acid cooks it just right to make it oh so enjoyable. But what if that fish was your organs and that lemon juice was the unregulated hydrogen ion acidosis from your bicarbonate supply tanking. In this interactive case-based course we will go over Sepsis and its stages, pathophysiology and treatments (that seem to change by the minute). We will focus on what EMS’s role is in Sepsis management and also tie in why in the heck is floppy hearts and nitro drips in the title of a sepsis talk.
