Current education about medical and trauma resuscitations are largely based on systolic pressure goals, but is this really what matters? We will look at the current state of the evidence for this in the literature and identify ways that we can begin to tailor our resuscitations to individual patient presentations and improve outcomes.

Dr. Adrian Proumen is a board-certified anesthesiologist. He currently serves as a staff anesthesiologist, Division Officer for Trauma Anesthesia, and Associate Program Director. He completed his medical education at VCOM– VA (2019) and anesthesia residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 2023. He has been involved with EMS since 2009 with multiple local agencies and currently serves as an MD02 for the VBEMS.
