Airway emergencies can easily be seen as the situations where we might want ALS the most.  How we think and perform airway management as BLS providers can significantly affect a patient's long term outcome even more than definitive hospital care.  Airway management is still a BLS skill we have when ALS isn't available.

After working in a variety of settings, to include in-patient hospital care, the emergency department, interfacility transport, and 911 agencies, I have begun a passion for EMS Education. I am currently in the process of earning the certification of Education Coordinator, as well. After over four years as an EMT, I have recently gained my Paramedic certification in January of 2024 and am currently working in a 911 agency.
