The governance committee is established in the bylaws as a standing committee. It is responsible for ongoing review and recommendations to enhance the quality of the board of directors. The committee also helps create board roles and responsibilities, pays attention to board composition, encourages board development, assesses board effectiveness and prepares board leadership. The governance committee is also responsible for reviewing and revising corporate bylaws and for the development of the corporate strategic plan.
