The executive committee is responsible for working in support of, or between board meetings and in an emergency in place of, the full board. The committee works closely with the executive director to provide strong executive leadership, provide oversight and advice on important matters, and to ensure adherence to the highest ethical standards and best practices for non-profit governance and the use of public funds. The committee also performs policy work; acts as liaison to the executive director; conducts executive searches; oversees budget preparation; and handles urgent issues.
