IWVRS is pleased to announce an "OPERATIONAL RESPONSE TO HOSTILE EVENT" seminar at the Smithfield Center on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. This event will be from 7 to 9:30 pm.
This seminar is for Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS Staff.
This seminar will inform you about supporting paradigm changes in Law/ EMS response to hostile events with case studies and Q&A by Dr. E. Reed Smith, MD FACEP (OMD) and Captain John Delaney with the High Threat Response Team in Northern Virginia.
Dr. E. Reed Smith is the Co-Chairman of the Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Committee and has written several articles on major Active Shooter events.
Captain John Delaney is on the National Medical & High Treat Response Team and has written articles for Domestic Preparedness.
The third speaker is Kathryn Roberts with FEMA Counter Terrorism Divison. She will talk about the three part strategies for every department’s preparedness need to know.
This is hosted by Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad and is a Free event. We want to enjoy the wealth of knowledge from this event.
