The Tidewater EMS Council is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. We request and gladly accept your tax-deductible financial contributions to support our programs for the benefit of the emergency medical services workers and agencies throughout the Tidewater region.

Your contributions can help us provide:
  • educational programming
  • recognition events such as our annual awards program
  • an annual EMS family picnic
  • schlorships for high school seniors in rescue squads who will be entering advance life support training program or any institute of higher learning
  • registration and travel for EMS workers to attend EMS conferences around the nation to help bring ideas and information back to our region
  • critical incident stress management team training
  • EMS research
Unrestricted contributions as well as contributions targeted to certain areas such as listed above are welcome. You can use our "Donate" button located above to immediately process a credit card contribution, or feel free to send or bring a contribution to the council office.

Please consider the Tidewater EMS Council as part of your estate planning by placing a simple statement in your will: "I hereby bequeath to the Tidewater EMS Council at 1104 Madison Plaza, Chesapeake, VA the sum of (____% of my estate) OR ($____)."  Please choose either a percent or a fixed amount, but not both!

We also offer a partnership program where for various levels of annual contribution we recognize donors as Council partners and provide various forms of acknowledgement and recognition in our publications and during events. Contact us for more information about our partnership program.

Do you have a question about the donation-worthiness of the Tidewater EMS Council? Check out our annual federal 990 report, other organizational documents and annual reports. You will see our "management and general" expenses are far below average and we spend no material amount of our support on fund-raising. We provide our financial information to Guidestar, a nationally known organization that tracks and reports on nonprofit organizations, and have a "Silver" rating.
